Stack emission monitoring

In most parts of the world, industrial stack emissions are restricted and controlled by varying degrees of regulations.

Currently, these regulations apply to coarse particle classes PM10 and PM2.5. As yet, however, there are no regulations for smaller classes of fine and ultra-fine (nano) particles, although recent research has revealed they pose a far greater health risk than the larger particles.

In the future, nanoparticles will be subject to regulations as well. Today’s cross-stack optical backscatter devices are far too insensitive for this – luckily, our electrical sensor technology is already up to the task.
